Burani Raita

I recently came across this recipe on a TV show, so thought of making it with some Biryani. This is a very simple but very flavorful Raita. The hero is Garlic in this Raita, its sharpness is very well-balanced by yogurt. Let’s see how this is made:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3-4  cloves of garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Rock Salt
  • Salt to taste

Process:

  • Smoothen the yogurt with the help of a whisk
  • Then add milk and mix properly
  • Now add all the other ingredients and mix, you can add or decrease the he amount of chilli as per yu our likings
  • Serve with some freshly chopped coriander

If you do not like the taste of raw garlic you can saute garlic in some oil and then add to the Raita. It is best accompanied with Biryani dishes. It gives another very tasty dimension to the dish.
