Honey Banana Bread with Flaxmeal

I tried this recipe just so that my daughter eats some banana. Yes, she is one of the very rare kids who do not like banana😂 just like her father😐 That’s why almost once every month I make her this bread so that some bananas can find way to her tummy🤗

I have experimented a lot with this recipe, sometimes I add flax meal, sometimes I add dried fruits or simply some Melon/sunflower/pumpkin seeds depending on what I have in my pantry. It is full on health and taste both.

  • 1 & 1/4 whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup ground Flaxseed
  • 4 medium size ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 2-3 tbsp Melon Seeds
  • 1 & 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

  • First of all gather all the ingredients and then switch on the oven for preheating at 180 degrees, it is such a simple process that even if you are not a pro in cooking/baking then also you can make it in the time your oven is heating up
  • Grease a bread tin with some oilIMG20170330125535.jpg
  • Now sieve together the flour, flax meal, baking powder, baking soda and salt, keep asideIMG20170330124717
  • Mash the bananas in a bowl and add honey, oil, vanilla essence to it and mix very well till everything is combined
  • Now add the flour mix to it and then two tbsp Melon seeds. Fold it very gently, but mix it properly
  • Now pour this in the greased tin and tap the tin to get rid of air bubbles. Sprinkle some more seeds over the top. I added some chocolate chips also on topIMG20170330130506
  • By this time your oven would be ready, pop it up in the oven at 180 degrees for 30-35 Minutes or till the toothpick inserted comes out clean
  • Let it cool for 10 minutes and then de-mold. Again let it cool completely and then slice.

Health packed in a Bread loaf, interesting isn’t it!!!😍
