Mexican Tomato Salsa

Authentic Mexican Tomato Salsa is a delight every time you have this. Ripe tomatoes and their juices make this a yum side dish to have.


  • 4 ripe tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped coriander
  • 1 tbsp chopped jalapeno pepper
  • 1/2 tsp chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder(Kashmiri Lal Mirch or cayenne pepper)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1 tsp lemon juice


  • Cut the core of tomatoes and make a Cross on the down side(this will help in peeling after they are blanched)
  • Put them in boiling water for a minute and take out and peel

  • Finally add cumin powder, salt, chilli and pepper and mix well
  • Salsa is ready, keep it to rest for sometime so that flavors get mixed properlyIMG20170415143133
