Creamy Scallions and Garlic Spaghetti

All of us in my family love Spaghetti, and I always keep on doing experiments with it on the basis of whatever is available in my fridge😊 It is very comforting and a very forgiving food item that you can make the way you like.

This one is a super-duper quick recipe but full on flavor and yum factor😍 Make it in just 10-12 minutes when you are late from work and need to make a quick meal or anytime basically 😉

  • 150 gms Whole wheat or Durum Wheat spaghetti
  • 1 & 1/2 cup cleaned and fine chopped scallions/spring onions
  • 1 & 1/2 tsp fine chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp butter
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp crushed black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh cream(or Malai)
  • Water to cook spaghetti

  • Put some water to boil in a large vessel, water should be enough to submerge the spaghetti. When it boils add a tsp salt & few drops of oil and mixIMG20170605210426
  • Add in the pasta and let it cook as per the package instructions, generally it is 8-12 minutes
  • Meanwhile, heat a tsp oil and butter in a pan and add garlic and cook for a few seconds
  • Add chopped scallions and cook till their water is absorbedIMG20170605211324
  • Add salt and pepper and mix wellIMG20170605211448
  • Add the cream and some water from the boiling pasta and cook for a minute, your scallion sauce is ready
  • By this time your pasta would have been cooked already, strain it well and drop in the pan of cooking sauce, give it a nice mix and it’s ready 🤗

Serve hot and win smiles in minutes😃😃
