These Energy Balls Truffles are cute little sweet balls full of energy to keep you going when you don’t have time to take a break from work. These are just two bite sized small balls covered in chocolate and loaded with lots of proteins and good fat. These are made with dry fruits and dates that give you all the necessary nutrients for the day.
They are very easy to make. You can make them once a week it just takes 10 minutes to make. These sweet balls are a great snack option for kids and adults as well 🤗
Ingredients:
- 1 Cup of mixed nuts(Almonds, Cashew, Pistachios or any of your favorite nuts)
- ½ cup de-seeded dates, chopped
- 100 grams of good quality dark chocolate chopped(you can use chocolate chips as well)
- 2 tbsp of desiccated coconut
- 1 tbsp of chopped pistachios
Process:
- Take the nuts to a food processor bowl and pulse for few seconds. You can even dry roast and then grind the nuts if you have some time, this will give enhanced flavor and shelf life. But the Energy Balls turn out perfectly fine even without roasting
- Pulse the nuts again till the stage when their inner oil starts releasing, at that time add the chopped dates and pulse again
- Process them till it is a sticky even mixture, form little balls of the mixture and keep aside
- Melt the chopped chocolate in microwave in short spurts of 40-40 seconds
- Dip the dry fruit balls in the melted chocolate and garnish with some desiccated coconut or chopped pistachios
- Serve as it is or wait for the chocolate to set. The chocolate will set in a few moments only like 3-4 minutes
Your home-made full of energy beautiful truffles are ready to be devoured with your family. No one would mind this dose of health coming in a chocolatey form 🤗😉
